Active Learning

One thing that is important to me in the classrooms that I believe need to change is the students need to be more active.  There is way too much just sitting in a chair and listening, especially in the middle and high school levels. It has been proven that active learning helps the students to learn better so why are teachers not using it?  Teachers need to learn how to adapt to what is best for the students instead of just doing what they are comfortable with.
